Factory 47 Limited Warranty

Factory 47 stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of the products we manufacture. This Limited Warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in Factory 47-manufactured products only, subject to all terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations below.

THIS WARRANTY IS NOT A RETURN, REFUND, STORE CREDIT, OR PRODUCT EXCHANGE POLICY.

Refunds, standard exchanges, store credit, and returns are governed exclusively by the Factory 47 Refund and Return Policy.

1. Six-Month Limited Warranty

Factory 47 warrants Factory 47-branded products manufactured by Factory 47 to the original purchaser only against verified defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six (6) months from the original date of delivery.

Valid proof of purchase from Factory 47 or an authorized Factory 47 dealer is required.

This warranty is non-transferable.

If the product has been sold, gifted, transferred, purchased used, or is being claimed by anyone other than the original purchaser, the warranty is void.

If valid proof of purchase cannot be provided, the warranty is void.

2. Warranty Remedy

If Factory 47 determines that a product has a qualifying manufacturing defect, Factory 47 may, at its discretion:

Repair the defective Factory 47 product;
Replace the defective component; or
Replace the defective product with the same product or a comparable version if the original product is no longer available.

A WARRANTY CLAIM WILL NOT RESULT IN A CASH REFUND, CREDIT CARD REFUND, STORE CREDIT, OR EXCHANGE FOR DIFFERENT PARTS.

A warranty claim cannot be used to change:

Product type;
Handlebar height;
Handlebar style;
Color;
Finish;
Model;
Part;
Design; or
Any other product selection.

Warranty replacement exists solely to address a verified manufacturing defect in the originally purchased product.

Any request for a refund, store credit, standard return, or exchange for another product is governed exclusively by the Factory 47 Refund and Return Policy.

3. No Labor Reimbursement

FACTORY 47 DOES NOT COVER LABOR CHARGES UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

This applies regardless of who installed, removed, diagnosed, inspected, repaired, or replaced the product.

Factory 47 will not reimburse:

Dealership installation charges;
Motorcycle shop labor;
Mechanic charges;
Removal labor;
Reinstallation labor;
Diagnostic fees;
Wiring labor;
Cable installation;
Brake-line installation;
Disassembly;
Reassembly;
Towing;
Transportation;
Vehicle downtime; or
Any other labor or service expense.

If a customer chooses to pay a dealership, motorcycle shop, mechanic, installer, or other third party to install or remove a Factory 47 product, those expenses are the customer's responsibility.

An approved warranty claim does not create any obligation for Factory 47 to reimburse those costs, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

4. Product Must Be Inspected Before Installation

ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE CAREFULLY INSPECTED BEFORE INSTALLATION.

This is especially important for handlebars and other finished or structural components.

Before installation, the customer and/or installer must inspect the product for:

Scratches;
Chips;
Dents;
Cracks;
Bends;
Deformation;
Weld concerns;
Chrome defects;
Powder-coat defects;
Finish concerns;
Shipping damage;
Missing components;
Incorrect size;
Incorrect product; and
Any other visible condition.

If there is any concern with the product, DO NOT INSTALL IT.

Contact Factory 47 before installation and provide photographs showing the condition.

Installation of a product with an obvious visible condition may prevent Factory 47 from determining whether the condition existed before installation or occurred during installation.

Damage occurring during or after installation is not considered a manufacturing defect merely because it becomes visible after installation.

5. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage, failure, dissatisfaction, or other conditions resulting from anything other than a verified manufacturing defect.

Incorrect Fitment or Ordering

Warranty coverage does not apply to:

Ordering the wrong product;
Wrong handlebar height;
Wrong style;
Wrong finish;
Wrong color;
Incorrect motorcycle year, make, model, or trim;
Incompatible risers;
Incompatible clamps;
Incompatible controls;
Incompatible cables;
Incompatible wiring;
Incompatible brake lines;
Incompatible accessories;
A product not fitting the customer's motorcycle;
Customer comfort preference;
Customer appearance preference; or
Customer changing their mind.

These circumstances are not manufacturing defects.

Scratches and Cosmetic Damage

Scratches or cosmetic damage caused by installation, tools, clamps, controls, hardware, handling, storage, transportation, road debris, cleaning, riding, or normal use are not covered.

Customers and installers are responsible for inspecting the product before installation.

Chemicals and Cleaning Products

Damage caused by improper chemicals or cleaning products is not covered.

This includes damage caused by:

Acids;
Solvents;
Degreasers;
Harsh cleaners;
Polishing compounds;
Fuel;
Brake fluid;
Chemical sprays; or
Any product unsuitable for the applicable finish.

Staining, discoloration, peeling, corrosion, finish deterioration, or other damage caused by chemical exposure is not a manufacturing defect.

Bending and Physical Damage

Products bent or physically damaged by an external force are not covered.

This includes damage caused by:

Dropping the motorcycle;
Motorcycle tip-over;
Impact;
Accident;
Crash;
Improper handling;
Improper installation;
Excessive tightening;
Misuse; or
Abuse.

Crashes, Accidents, Falls, and Impacts

DAMAGE CAUSED BY A CRASH, COLLISION, ACCIDENT, FALL, TIP-OVER, OR IMPACT IS NOT COVERED.

If a product has cracked, bent, broken, deformed, or otherwise been damaged because of a crash, collision, fall, tip-over, or significant external impact, the resulting damage is not a manufacturing defect.

A crash or significant impact may compromise the structural integrity of a product even when all damage is not immediately visible.

Warranty coverage for damage related to a product involved in such an incident may therefore be denied.

Improper Installation

Damage caused by improper installation is not covered.

Examples include:

Excessive clamp pressure;
Incorrect clamps;
Incorrect risers;
Over-tightening;
Stripped threads;
Scratches during installation;
Pinched wiring;
Pulled wiring terminals;
Incorrect wire routing;
Improper cable routing;
Drilling;
Enlarging holes;
Improper control installation;
Insufficient clearance; or
Installation with incompatible components.

Modifications

Warranty coverage may be void if a product has been:

Cut;
Drilled;
Welded;
Ground;
Bent;
Re-shaped;
Re-chromed;
Re-painted;
Re-powder-coated; or
Otherwise altered from its original manufactured condition.

Normal Wear and Environmental Exposure

Normal wear and tear is not covered.

This includes:

Scratches;
Stone chips;
Finish wear;
Fading;
Discoloration;
Corrosion;
Rust;
Weathering; and
Ordinary deterioration associated with use.

Damage caused by humidity, rain, coastal or ocean environments, road salt, environmental contaminants, chemicals, improper storage, improper cleaning, road conditions, or lack of maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect.

6. Handlebars

Factory 47 handlebars are covered for six months against verified manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

ALL HANDLEBARS MUST BE INSPECTED BEFORE INSTALLATION.

The customer and installer are responsible for verifying:

Correct motorcycle fitment;
Correct riser compatibility;
Correct clamp compatibility;
Proper control fitment;
Proper cable length;
Proper brake-line length;
Electrical compatibility;
Proper internal wiring;
Full steering clearance;
Safe throttle operation;
Safe brake operation;
Safe clutch operation; and
Safe overall operation before riding.

Factory 47 is not responsible for damage caused during installation.

Scratches occurring while installing controls, clamps, switches, grips, wiring, or other components are not covered.

A handlebar bent because of a fall, crash, accident, impact, improper installation, or other external force is not covered.

Cracking resulting from a crash, collision, accident, tip-over, or impact is not covered.

7. Powder Coat, Chrome, and Other Finishes

All finishes must be inspected before installation.

Factory 47 will evaluate finish claims to determine whether the condition resulted from a manufacturing defect.

Scratches, chips, chemical damage, staining, rust, corrosion, discoloration, or finish damage occurring during or after installation or use are generally not considered manufacturing defects.

Improper cleaning products or chemicals can permanently damage chrome, powder coat, paint, polished metal, and other finishes. Such damage is not covered.

Minor variations in texture, color, polishing, coating, or appearance that may occur during manufacturing do not necessarily constitute a defect.

8. Engine Guards, Highway Bars, Bag Guards, and Protective Components

Factory 47 engine guards, highway bars, bag guards, and similar products are warranted only against verified manufacturing defects in the product itself.

These products are not guaranteed to prevent injury or damage to a motorcycle during a collision, accident, fall, impact, or tip-over.

Damage resulting from such an event is not covered.

Factory 47 does not guarantee that an engine guard, crash bar, bag guard, highway bar, or similar product will prevent damage to:

The motorcycle;
Frame;
Engine;
Fairing;
Saddlebags;
Exhaust;
Bodywork;
Accessories; or
Other motorcycle components.

9. Electrical and Pre-Wired Products

Electrical components, wiring, switches, connectors, and pre-wired products must be inspected and tested before final installation whenever reasonably possible.

Damage caused by incorrect connections, pinched wires, pulled terminals, improper routing, short circuits, incompatible components, electrical modifications, or installation errors is not covered.

Third-party electrical components may be governed by the original manufacturer's warranty.

10. Third-Party Products

Products sold by Factory 47 but manufactured by another company are generally subject to the warranty provided by that manufacturer.

Factory 47's six-month manufacturing warranty applies to Factory 47-manufactured products and does not replace warranties offered by third-party manufacturers.

Factory 47 may assist customers in identifying the appropriate manufacturer's warranty process, but eligibility and remedies for third-party products are determined by that manufacturer.

11. Shipping Damage and Incorrect Items

Shipping damage and fulfillment errors are separate from manufacturing warranty claims.

If a product arrives damaged or the wrong product is received, contact Factory 47 before installation.

Retain the original packaging.

Factory 47 may request photographs of:

The product;
Shipping box;
Packaging;
Shipping label; and
Visible damage.

DO NOT INSTALL A PRODUCT THAT ARRIVES DAMAGED OR APPEARS TO BE INCORRECT.

12. Submitting a Warranty Claim

The customer must provide:

Original proof of purchase;
Factory 47 order number or authorized dealer receipt;
Product name or part number;
Motorcycle year, make, and model;
Detailed description of the claimed defect;
Clear photographs of the complete product;
Close-up photographs of the claimed defect; and
Any additional information reasonably requested by Factory 47.

Factory 47 may request additional photographs, videos, measurements, installation information, or return of the product for physical inspection.

Do not discard the product while a claim is being reviewed.

Factory 47 must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the product and determine whether a qualifying manufacturing defect exists.

13. Warranty Determination

Factory 47 will determine whether the claimed condition qualifies as a manufacturing defect.

A claim may be denied when evidence indicates:

Improper installation;
Installation damage;
Scratching;
Chemical damage;
Physical impact;
Bending;
Motorcycle tip-over;
Crash;
Accident;
Modification;
Misuse;
Abuse;
Incorrect fitment;
Normal wear;
Corrosion;
Environmental damage; or
Another cause unrelated to manufacturing.

The existence of a crack, bend, broken weld, damaged finish, or other condition does not by itself establish that a manufacturing defect exists.

Factory 47 may consider the complete condition of the product and the circumstances surrounding the claimed failure when determining warranty eligibility.

14. Warranty Claims Are Not Returns, Refunds, or Exchanges

A Factory 47 warranty claim exists solely to address a qualifying manufacturing defect.

A warranty claim cannot be used to:

Receive cash back;
Receive a credit card refund;
Receive store credit;
Receive reimbursement of the purchase price;
Exchange for another product;
Exchange for another handlebar style;
Exchange for another handlebar height;
Exchange for another color;
Exchange for another finish; or
Apply the value of the defective product toward another purchase.

If Factory 47 approves a warranty claim, the available remedy is limited to repair, replacement of a defective component, or replacement with the same or comparable product, subject to applicable law.

All refunds, standard product exchanges, store credits, and returns are governed exclusively by the Factory 47 Refund and Return Policy.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Factory 47's obligations under this Limited Warranty are limited to the warranty remedies expressly stated above.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Factory 47 shall not be responsible or liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to the purchase, installation, removal, use, misuse, failure, or replacement of a Factory 47 product.

This includes, without limitation:

Dealer labor;
Installation labor;
Removal labor;
Reinstallation labor;
Diagnostic fees;
Towing charges;
Transportation expenses;
Rental vehicle expenses;
Travel expenses;
Hotel or lodging expenses;
Lost income;
Lost profits;
Lost business;
Motorcycle downtime;
Loss of use;
Missed events;
Damage caused by improper installation;
Damage caused by incompatible components; and
Other expenses arising from the removal, installation, use, or replacement of the product.

Factory 47 does not assume responsibility for the workmanship, actions, representations, mistakes, or charges of independent dealerships, installers, mechanics, motorcycle shops, or other third parties.

Payment of a third party to install a Factory 47 product does not make Factory 47 responsible for that party's labor, workmanship, installation methods, mistakes, or charges.

No dealer, installer, reseller, or third party is an agent of Factory 47 merely because that person sells or installs Factory 47 products.

16. Motorcycle Modification and Customer Responsibility

Aftermarket motorcycle parts can affect the operation, fitment, handling, clearance, electrical system, controls, and other functions of a motorcycle.

The purchaser and installer are responsible for determining whether the product is appropriate for the specific motorcycle and intended application.

The customer and installer are responsible for confirming safe installation and operation before the motorcycle is ridden.

A motorcycle must not be operated if:

Steering is restricted;
Controls interfere with other components;
Wiring is pinched or damaged;
Brake lines are stretched or improperly routed;
Throttle operation is restricted;
Clutch operation is unsafe;
Components are loose;
A crack, bend, or other structural concern is visible; or
Any other potentially unsafe condition exists.

Continued operation of a motorcycle after a problem becomes known may cause additional damage and may affect warranty eligibility.

17. No Guarantee Against Accident, Injury, or Property Damage

Factory 47 products do not eliminate the inherent risks associated with operating, modifying, maintaining, or repairing a motorcycle.

Engine guards, highway bars, handlebars, bag guards, and other Factory 47 products are not represented as guaranteeing protection against accident, bodily injury, death, or property damage.

The performance of any product during a crash, accident, impact, fall, or tip-over depends on circumstances outside Factory 47's control, including speed, impact direction, impact force, motorcycle configuration, installation, roadway conditions, and other factors.

No Factory 47 product should be relied upon as a guarantee that injury or motorcycle damage will be prevented.

18. Rights That Cannot Legally Be Limited

Nothing in this Limited Warranty is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any right, remedy, warranty, obligation, or liability that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or waived under applicable law.

Where applicable law does not permit a particular exclusion or limitation contained in this warranty, that exclusion or limitation shall apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions of this warranty shall remain in effect.

19. Legal Rights

This Limited Warranty gives the original purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.

No Factory 47 dealer, reseller, installer, employee, representative, or other person is authorized to modify, expand, or make additional promises concerning this warranty unless specifically authorized in writing by Factory 47.

Factory 47 reserves the right to revise its warranty policies for future purchases. The warranty applicable to a product will be the warranty applicable to that purchase, subject to applicable law.
